Alex has been a mainstay of the US team for more than 10 years, in addition to being one of the squad’s most ferocious shooters. With two Olympic appearances behind him (2016, 10th; 2020, sixth), this time around, he will be hoping to approach the levels of the 2008 team that claimed silver medals in Beijing.
That will be no easy task, but Alex’s extensive international experience will be crucial in advancing the team through each round. He has played in seven world championships tournaments and claimed two Pan Am Games gold medals (2019, 2023), in addition to a 2023 World Cup bronze. That said, a ninth place finish at the 2024 World Championships, at which Alex scored 14 goals – indicates that the competition in Paris will be fearsome.
